Updated: Aug 1, 2023

Did you know that Yoga is the most valuable intangible inheritance of the humanity? It is the science of the good living, a means of balancing the body, the mind and the emotions, that works on all the aspects of our human being, the physical, vital, mental, emotional, psychic and spiritual. For all those reason Yoga is a life-changing journey.

The word 'yoga' derives from the Sanskrit word “yuj”, which means ‘to join’.

This joining is meant to be as the union of the individual consciousness with the universal consciousness.

The science of yoga begins to work on the physical level of the body and throught the practice of asanas it then moves on to the mental and emotional levels.

When an imbalance is experienced at emotional level, the organs, muscles and nerves might no longer function in harmony, the body system might become irregular and the efficiency of the nervous system decrease to such a level that a disease might manifest.

Yoga aims at bringing the body functions into perfect harmony.

Yoga develops awareness between the emotional, mental and physical levels, and such awareness leads to a deeper understanding of existence. This awareness coming into your life is a life-changing journey leading you to a balanced way of living.

According to medical studies, yoga therapy is successful because it creates a balance in the nervous and endocrine systems which directly influences all the other systems and organs of the body.

Asanas do remove the physical stress and anxiety that nowadays are part of our daily lives. That is why everybody needs to practice yoga.

The practice of asanas integrates and harmonizes the body and the mind, that both hide tensions and knots.

Every emotional tension has a corresponding physical muscular knot and the purpose of yoga asanas is to release those knots dealing with them on the physical level, and them tackling them from both the mental and physical level.

The result is the release of new powerful energy, the body becomes more vital and strong, and the mind becomes light, happy and balanced.

The regular practice of asanas promotes health, even in an unhealthy body.

Through asana practice, the energy potential is released and experienced as increased self-confidence in all areas of life.

Yoga is far from being only physical exercises, it is a life-changing journey that will make you feel joyful and in balance. It is an aid to perceive what is real, what is necessary, and how to live life embracing both inner and outer realities.

This way of life is an experience that cannot be just told, it has to be experienced only through practice. Practicing yoga brings awareness, relaxation, concentration and meditation. The development of good physical health by stretching the body, stimulating the pranic channels and massaging the internal organs, is only a part of the process.

Does not matter which level of asanas you practice, even a regular practice of simple asanas are beneficial as much as advanced asanas are. Through the regular practice you will gain flexibility and have a greater degree of steadiness, concentration and coordination with the breath.

Anybody can practice asanas, although they are more effective and beneficial when performed in a correct manner and after proper preparation. That’s why it is important to start yoga with the assistance of a skilled instructor. It is important to breathe in and breathe out only through the nose, and to coordinate the breath with any movement of the body.

The real purpose of yoga practice is to influence, integrate and harmonize all the levels of human being: physical, pranic, mental, emotional, psychic and spiritual.

At first it may seem that asanas are only concerned with the physical level because they make the body move in different ways, but they have instead a profound effects at every level of being when they are combined with awareness.

Awareness is essential to any yoga practice since it leads to consciously feel and understand the sensations in the body, the posture, the breath control, the physical movement of the body, the concentration on chakras and it leads witnessing any feelings or thoughts that may arise during the practice.

Yoga will save the World.
